The winter sports season came to a close on Wed., Mar. 6 as the teams gathered for the annual winter banquet. Holton Athletic Association President Virginia Asher '19 welcomed nine new members into the school's oldest club: Nina Carter '20, Tori Edmunds '19, Gillian Farland '20, MacKenzie Kim '19, Elise Knutsen '19, Kelly O'Connor '19, Ella Raineri '19, Lucy Walker '19, and Isabelle Wilson '19.
The highlight of the season was hands down the historic finish for swimming and diving, who took home three championship titles. Varsity basketball also celebrated Kyle Rymsza '20 scoring her 1,000th point against National Cathedral—an impressive feat, especially as a junior! All of our teams represented Holton with pride, gracious in victory and defeat.
Awards for Most Valuable and Most Improved and the Coach's Award were presented to athletes in varsity basketball, JV basketball, varsity ice hockey, and varsity swimming and diving. Congratulations to all teams for a very successful winter. Go Panthers!
