Greetings All,
I think we would all agree that it is never too early to discuss the weekend. Hence we have an early Thursday edition of the upcoming Holiday weekend building hours. I hope that the week has gone well for everyone. It was indeed a busy campus awash in the Blue and White pride of Spirit Week. I can personally attest that there was goodwill abound which is a dynamic that helps to define this unique community. Go Panthers.
The holiday weekend building hours for October 10-12, 2015 are posted below. Please note that the building is scheduled to be closed on Monday, October 12 for the Fall Break. We are hoping that you take advantage of this extra day by participating in a tranquility based endeavor. That fancy phrase simply translates into a heartfelt request to simply embrace the day and relax. On behalf of my good friends in the Facilities Department, I would like to wish all of my colleagues a safe, restful and enjoyable long weekend.
There are several events taking place in the Washington Metropolitan Area this weekend. Prominent among those events is the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Million Man March that will be taking place on Saturday. If you plan on being in the Downtown, DC area during that time, you could encounter scheduled street closings and additional pedestrian activity. A mere application of patience will work just fine.
Thank you as always and take care.
Ken
