Holton basketball's Tori Edmunds '19 was selected by the Holton Athletic Association as "Panther of the Week" for her heart and hustle in back to back JV and varsity games.
Freshman Tori Edmunds stepped up big for her School on Thursday, January 7 when Holton took on Stone Ridge in basketball. After playing an entire JV game and scoring 11 points for her team, Edmunds swapped her JV uniform for a varsity one as she stayed to help the varsity team, which was low on numbers. Her coaches commended her for the, "heart and hustle she brought to the court each time she checked into the varsity game."
Edmunds had been a staple at the point guard position for the JV team all season, but has given just as much to the varsity team any time she is asked. Regardless if she is helping out in a drill during practice, or it's the last couple seconds of the game, Edmunds gives 100%. "Her constant leadership helps her team stay competitive not only in games, but practice as well," comments Coach Fernandes, head varsity basketball coach.
Everyday Edmunds exemplifies what it means to be a team player, but last Thursday she took it to a new level. You can check out Edmunds and the basketball program as they take on Holy Child, JV at 4:15 p.m. and varsity at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, January 29 at home. Check out the rest of the schedule and results for JV and varsity.
