Greetings All,
I hope that the day is going well. This e-mail provides you with a sneak preview of the upcoming 2016 Independence Day Holiday Weekend Building Hours. That was indeed a mouthful, but the arrival of a summer holiday weekend is always a much anticipated event. Please note that we are seeking to close the building this entire weekend in support of all relaxation and rejuvenation initiatives.
It is safe to say that the Washington Metropolitan Area will be bustling with activity over the next few days. If you are planning to embark on a journey, we wish you safe travels regardless of your mode of travel. AAA has already predicted a potential record number of vehicles on our nation's roadways. Wow, more traffic. That is just the kind of news commuter weary folks want to hear in this region. I currently subscribe to the belief that our local rush hour far exceeds traditional time parameters. I became a true convert to that philosophy as I sat in traffic on I-95 shortly before midnight yesterday evening. Unbelievably there were no reported incidents, it was just simply volume.
We want to welcome home our community members who are in the process of returning from Global Education Summer Trips. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
On behalf of the entire Facilities Department, I would like to wish all of our colleagues a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.
Thank you my friends and take care.
Ken
