Over Fall Break, we took advantage of visiting our son for his Family Weekend to make a family pilgrimage. Soon after Aaron started there, I realized that Hamilton College is only about an hour from Kasoag, NY where I spent part of every summer of my childhood. For years, I had been pushing for a visit, but distance and lack of proximity to anything of note had protected my husband and son from a trip whose merits they viewed as dubious at best. Now the excuses had evaporated.
