While in New York last weekend, my husband and I hosted an impromptu get together for area alumnae. To my delight, four people showed up, one of whom was Kaji Spellman Dousa '96, whom I had met last spring in San Diego. She has just moved to New York to take over as Senior Minister at the Park Avenue Christian Church, a Disciples of Christ congregation of over 700 members on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Kaji is one of those people whose energy fills a room. We were all quickly taken up in hearing about her move to New York, her new church, her two-year old daughter, and how to furniture to fill the handsome 4,000 square foot townhouse that the church provides as housing. When she extended an invitation to attend her 11:00 service the next morning, we could only accept.
