Varsity basketball's Maddie McCormick '19 has been selected by the Holton Athletic Association (HAA) as "Panther of the Week" for her performance, intensity and toughness throughout the start of the season.

After a strong start to the season, the varsity basketball team headed down to Walt Disney World for the 2016 KSA Girls Holiday Basketball Tournament held at ESPN Wide World of Sports. McCormick received MVP honors for the tournament after a strong finish with 22 points against Pelham Memorial (NY). For the tournament, she averaged, a team best with 12 points per game.
McCormick's coaches commented that, "her energy level, intensity, and toughness have improved as the season has progressed and we are looking forward to seeing more of that as the team continues with ISL play. It has been an absolute joy coaching Maddie this year and we are honored and proud to be her coaches!"
