I hope that your week has been a good one. It felt good to begin the day with another Continental Department Breakfast. Is there any better way to enjoy a plate of hash browns? A collective note of gratitude is extended to all of the good folks who made that possible. Thank you.
Heading into Super Bowl weekend, sports themes have certainly permeated the Holton community. What can be said about the recent athletic accomplishments? The 2017 ISL Swim and Dive Championship banner is currently being displayed proudly at the front desk. Many guests have entered our front lobby and acknowledged that tremendous accomplishment. Could there be more to come? We may soon begin to call Graham Westerberg the Knute Rockne of the natatorium. I am kindly requesting all royalties if any t-shirts are made to that effect. Achievements are occurring throughout numerous team levels during this Winter Sport Season. Even as this e-mail is being prepared, the entire school community anxiously awaits the Mid-Atlantic Girls Hockey League Finals taking place tonight. Go Panthers!
The weekend building hours for February 4-5, 2017 are posted below. Please note that we are seeking to close the building at 4:00 pm on Saturday. Consider it a little extra time to enjoy a weekend evening. Looking for a little adventure in your life? Simply place yourself in a store check-out line an hour before Super Bowl kickoff; total bedlam. We have several of our colleagues with ties to Atlanta and others hailing from the New England area. The potential exists for some type of regional standoff, but I believe that cooler heads will prevail.
There will be parties galore out there, so be extra mindful on the roads for that other driver. On behalf of my good friends in the Facilities Department, I would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend.
