Greetings All,
I hope that your week has been a good one. First of all, let me say what a tremendous pleasure it was to welcome the new faculty and staff to the Holton-Arms community. It does not take long to recognize the integral roles that each of us holds in supporting a positive learning environment for our girls. Working collectively as colleagues to achieve that goal is paramount in an increasingly challenging world.
The weekend building hours for August 26-27, 2017 are posted below. You will notice that once again there will be building hours offered on both days. Please be advised that SAT testing is taking place on Saturday. Accordingly, testing protocols will be in effect so your cooperation in minimizing noise and disruption is always greatly appreciated. Provisions are in place to support that activity along with the first session of Capital Educators that extends into Sunday evening.
In closing, you know that I often have a few thoughts to share with you. First of all, I want to join the entire school community in wishing Laura Greer the very best. "LG", as she is affectionately known has been such a very important component of our daily operations. We will certainly miss her pleasant demeanor and inviting smile. Thank you for everything "LG"! On an astronomical note, an expression of gratitude is extended to Chris Lee for those amazing eclipse photographs. I realized the true attraction of that event when my physical therapy session ended abruptly. That action was followed by everyone in the entire medical building rushing into the parking lot to catch a glimpse. It was a truly surreal moment. Hmm, lucky for me I was not undergoing any kind of procedure at the time. The wonders of the universe indeed.
Our area weekend weather is predicted to be very pleasant so please enjoy it.
