Varsity basketball's Carly Goldblatt '20 has been selected by the Holton Athletic Association (HAA) as Panther of the Week!
A first year varsity player, Goldblatt continues to adjust to the speed, intensity, and physicality of playing at this level. As the season has progressed, Goldblatt has improved her skills and has seen her minutes increase with each passing game. Recently, Goldblatt had to start her first game due to an injury to our starting point guard. Without any hesitation, Goldblatt stepped in and played an entire 32 minutes and helped lead the team to a conference win over Georgetown Day School. "Playing the point guard position requires a lot of responsibility, especially when it comes to running the offense. The coaches are so proud of Carly for stepping up to the plate when her number was called and filling in at a crucial point in the season. We look forward to seeing her continued growth this year," commented Coach Fernandes.
You can check out Carly and the varsity basketball team as they take on the Holy Child, at 5:45 p.m. at home on Thursday, February 15. For the most up-to-date schedule and results, click here to check out the varsity basketball team page.
