On Wednesday March 7, Holton held its first ever, full-day student-led diversity conference at Holton with student leadership from Laila Syed '18, Imani Wright '18, and Katie Smith '19 . After months of intensive training and planning, forty Upper School students led their peers in conversations and interactive exercises regarding race, religion, and gender/sexuality. Holton faculty from the Diversity and Global Education offices, TIDE (Towards Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) Committee, and College Counseling along with Rodney Glasgow, Chief Diversity Officer and Director of Middle School at St. Andrews, supported the students throughout the day in discussing and unpacking a plethora of topics on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
