Congratulations to the eight athletes who received All-American honors. Four swimmers received the honors from the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association. Olivia Jubin '19 and Jing-E Tan '19 received recognition for three different events! Jubin for the 200 Free, 500 Free, and 200 Medley Relay while Tan was recognized for the 100 Fly, 100 Back, and 200 Medley. Medley teammates Jillian Johnson '20 and Tatum Zupnik '20 were also recognized as All-Americans in the 200 Medley Relay. All of these girls return next season so be sure to keep an eye out for what they accomplish in the future!
US Lacrosse also recognized four Holton lacrosse players. Taylor Lawrence '18, Kaitlyn Pham '18, and Stephanie Hong '19 received All-American status while teammate Christine Padalino '18 received Academic All-American status. Lawrence also received the Jackie Pitts Award for the Potomac Chapter. This award recognizes a senior player in each area who goes above and beyond in service to her team, school, and community. Holton's head varsity coach, Janet McCormick, was also recognized as Coach of the Year for the Potomac Chapter. All three seniors will continue their lacrosse careers at the collegiate level next year, Lawrence at Stanford, Pham at Hopkins, and Padalino at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Hong and McCormick will return next year looking to improve on one of the most successful lacrosse seasons in recent history!
