Holton-Arms Upper School Chemistry Instructor Xu Duan captures the attention of Bethesda Magazine as one of the top educators in the area. In the September/October issue, Duan, along with five other instructors, is featured in an article named, “Top of the Class.”
Duan may have caught the attention of the editors of Bethesda Magazine when he was named the 2012 recipient of the Leo Schubert Memorial Award for the Outstanding Teaching of High School Chemistry, presented by the Chemical Society of Washington. In his third year at Holton, Duan continues to inspire students through his hands-on approach and passion for chemistry.
