Alexis LeMone '16 and Sydney Mathis '17 were awarded the Potomac Valley Swimming Scholar Athlete Award for the 2014-15 swim season. This is the second year in a row that both LeMone and Mathis have received this award. For a full list of award winners, click here.
This award emphasizes the importance of scholastic achievement for Potomac Valley swimmers. To be eligible to receive the award, athletes much have attained a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the school year and have achieved a 3.5 or higher equivalent calculation in a minimum of five swimming events.
LeMone swims year-round for All Star Aquatics and Mathis swims for Machine Aquatics. Both girls were members of Holton's highly accomplished team last year, helping the team grab another ISL and WMPSSDL championship in addition to placing second at METRO's. This year, the girls are back and excited to continue the success.
