Varsity swimming and diving's Kate Chlopak '19 and varsity basketball's Nora Apt '17 were selected by the Holton Athletic Association as "Panthers of the Week" for their dedication, performance and leadership throughout the season.
Whether she's belting out Adele or destroying her best times, Chlopak swimmer embodies what it means to be on the Holton swim team. In the pool at WMPSSDL championships, she earned her best times in all four of the events she swam. Not only is this a huge personal accomplishment for Chlopak, but it also helped propel the Panthers to a fourth-place finish. What's more, Chlopak's positive energy is contagious to everyone around her. Donning a bright yellow rain jacket and a big smile, her vivacious attitude energized her teammates throughout the day.

The varsity basketball team has proven they have determination to give it their all during each and every game. With junior captain Nora Apt leading the way, there's a clear example to follow. When Holton took on one of the top teams in the ISL, Apt was able to put away 13 points including three 3-point shots. In addition to finding her shot the past few games, Apt has turned a corner with her leadership. Her coaches comment that, "Whether we are competing in a game or at practice, Nora has found her voice and has stepped up with the encouragement of her teammates and pushing them to go the extra mile. We are confident that Nora will continue to develop not only as a basketball player, but as a leader as well."
