A MESSAGE TO THE CLASS OF 2016
FROM THE HOLTON-ARMS SCHOOL
SECURITY OFFICE
Recently, Mr. Wilson and I have taken the opportunity at the end of the school year to send out a special message to our Seniors. This year will be no exception as once again we would like to congratulate our Seniors on all of their accomplishments.
A new journey is about to begin as you proceed on the path towards college and adulthood. While that step can sometimes seem daunting, it only signals the beginning of a journey that will continue you on the path towards enlightenment. The ability to apply all of the tools and gifts that have been bestowed upon you will serve as a positive catalyst for your ongoing growth. Consider yourselves the architects of your own destiny and the surveyors of your future landscape. In acknowledging those principles, you can hold your head high and be confident in your ability to succeed.
We have indeed shared many positive discussions together over the years. A prominent focus of those conversations have centered on the issue of safety. It was always our goal to work diligently each day to ensure that you learned in an environment that was secure. A major component in reaching that objective involves a tremendous amount of mutual cooperation. Mr. Wilson and I have sincerely appreciated your collective efforts in helping to support a safe campus. In some instances it simply meant enduring another one of our world renowned safety speeches during morning assembly. In other cases, it meant informing us of information potentially requiring the attention of the security office. That sense of active community engagement was vital to all of our strategic efforts.
We encourage you to also utilize your many gifts in seeking to empower yourselves with respect to personal safety. Do not hesitate to be proactive, inquisitive and resourceful when it comes to ensuring your own wellness. Always remember that the ability to exercise sound rational judgment will never be an obsolete virtue.
In closing, I wish to personally thank all of you for the kind greetings and generous smiles. It is certainly my hope that a mere hello from the front desk served to brighten your days. I can fully attest that seeing all of you excel and grow has been truly rewarding.
On behalf of the Holton-Arms School Security Office, I proudly salute the Class of 2016. Congratulations ladies on a job well done.
Sincerely,
Mr. Bryson and Mr. Wilson
