Varsity field hockey's Isabelle Ross '18 has been selected by the Holton Athletic Association (HAA) as "Panther of the Week" for the performance, work ethic, and leadership she has shown since the start the season.

The varsity field hockey team is off to an amazing 6-0 start in the ISL. A stark difference from the 2015 season, where the team finished league play with only one win. One of the biggest reasons for their success this year is that the team has been capitalizing on their scoring opportunities. Ross leads the team with eight goals, including a hat trick (three goals in one game) against Flint Hill. A skilled ice hockey player, Ross uses her physical presence and stick work in front of the cage. She is fearless and relentless in her attack, frustrating the opposing goalies and defensive players. In addition to her performance in games, Ross has an incredible work ethic during practice. Her coaches comment that she is, "a fighter at every practice and eager to get better every day."

You can check out Ross and the varsity field hockey team as they take on The Academy of the Holy Cross at 4:15 p.m. at home on the turf field on Friday, October 14. Click here for the most up-to-date schedule and results and click here for more photos of the varsity field hockey team.
