Greetings All,
I hope that your Friday has been a good one. We have indeed reached the end of a very busy and certainly eventful week. There are so many things to acknowledge that I could confabulate for days. However, in the interest of time, I will not do that. Instead, please allow me to reflect as always from an enlightened perspective that is indicative of the Holton-Arms community.
Congratulations again goes out to our girls for their ongoing achievements both in the classroom and beyond. In following the inclusive spirit from our "Head's Notes", It was indeed a privilege to have participated in the Holton-Arms School Mock Presidential Election. A "tip of the hat" goes out to everyone for their active roles in that marvelous expression of civil engagement. Placing political ideologies aside, voting remains a prominent responsibility for each of us. That single act serves to exemplify the liberties and principles that we all hold dear. Teaching young people those cherished tenents is crucially important. Job well done Middle School.
This weekend is once again an event filled one. The Upper School Fall Play and the HoltonARMoire will serve to highlight major campus activities. Provisions are in place to provide logistical and personnel support for all weekend events. If you plan on attending we wish you a wonderful time. The weekend building hours for November 12-13, 2016 are posted below. Please note that the building will officially open at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 13 in preparation for a busy schedule.
Please allow me to close on two final thoughts. First, I know that everyone will join me in expressing a note of gratitude with respect to the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Lunch. Wow, it felt good to sit down together in a collective setting while taking a pause from the hectic pace of the week. To all of those individuals who contributed to that delightful feast, we say thank you once again. Finally as we head into the weekend, let us not forget that today we celebrated Veteran's Day. The Holton-Arms community proudly recognizes all of those individuals who have served in our nation's Armed Forces. We both honor and salute your service.
Have a wonderful weekend my friends.
Ken
