The perfect game is defined as a game in which no opposing player reaches a base. Thus, the pitcher cannot allow any hits, walks, hit batsmen, or any opposing player to reach base safely for any reason. The feat has been achieved only 23 times in the history of Major League Baseball. Senior captain, Lillian Baker '17 achieved that perfect game over Spring Break at the ESPN Complex at Disney World against Trinity School from New York City. Trinity School competes in the competitive New York Interschool and the Ivy Preparatory School League. Behind the pitching of Baker, Holton won the last game of their trip to Florida and set the championship tone for the upcoming ISL season.
Baker is a four year member of the varsity team and two-time captain. After leading last year's team to earn the regular season co-championship title, her team feel short in the championship game of the ISL tournament against Flint Hill. Baker's team returns eight out of nine starters including some strong additions and depth. The team has their sights set on redemption and bringing home both championship banners to Holton.
Varsity lacrosse freshmen Sydney Pham '20 earns Panther of the Week after an incredible start to the season. Before the season even began, Pham put in the time and effort preparing for a successful season. She was a regular at the Healthy Baller workouts, as well as on the indoor team (who eventually won the championship against Bishop Ireton.) After making the team in March, she only began to work harder.

Pham's attitude and effort were contagious. During a critical moment in the Bullis game, she was put into the game with 30 seconds left. She was calm, cool, and collected as the ball came to her with mere seconds left on the clock. She held on to help Holton to victory. Even though Pham plays defense outside of school, she has been willing to play any position her coaches ask. In our last three games, Pham earned a starting spot as an attacker. Pham continues to impress her coaches and teammates by her selfless work ethic, team first attitude, and unwavering determination to help our team succeed.
