Greetings All,
I hope that your week has gone well. We salute the arrival of another Friday as a weekend awaits us. Alumnae Reunion Weekend is on the horizon so we can expect some busy days as many guests will grace our campus. A note of collective gratitude is extended to everyone in the Advancement Office for hosting an enjoyable Continental Breakfast yesterday. The quick pace of busy workday mornings is not always conducive to our culinary objectives. Henceforth, one does indeed come to truly appreciate those enjoyable community gatherings.
The weekend building hours for April 15-16, 2017 are posted below. Please be advised that the building is scheduled to be closed on Sunday, April 16. Enjoy the day off on Sunday and spend some cherished time with family and friends. Many students are still on Spring Break and this is also the time of year that observes the beginning of tourist season. Keep those points in mind should you decide to venture into D.C. over the weekend. You can expect to encounter additional traffic in association with a number of events taking place in the city over the next few days. The National Cherry Blossom Festival and home games for the Nats, Wizards and Caps are just some of the venues that will draw large crowds. My words of advice may seem redundant, but simply take your time and exercise some patience. Public transportation always remains a viable option.
On behalf of my good friends in the Facilities Department, I would like to wish all of my colleagues a fulfilling weekend.
Thank you for your ongoing support and take care.
Ken
