Congratulations to Acacia Overstreet '17 for being recognized as a Foot Locker Scholar Athlete and earning a $20,000 scholarship! The Foot Locker Scholar Athlete program honors student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and strong leadership skills in sports, in their schools, and within their communities.
After receiving thousands of applications, Acacia was one of 20 winners selected from across the United States. Acacia joined Holton as a freshman and immediately began to make her mark on the School. Acacia has a variety of interests and is a strong advocate for things for which she is most passionate. Among other things, Acacia is a four year member and now captain of the crew team. She is completely devoted to leadership as President of Model UN, BSU, and PUNCH. In addition to her extra-curricular activities, Acacia also pursues excellence in the classroom. Acacia is in Holton's highest level math class, multi-variable calculus, and, after completing Spanish 5 last year, Acacia created her own independent study to further her enrichment in Spanish.
Head of School, Susanna A. Jones comments, "We are so proud that Foot Locker has recognized Acacia's academic and athletic achievements, as well as her leadership in this extraordinarily generous way, and I can't think of a more deserving student."
