Last year, Landon teacher Ray Wright invited me to the class on leadership he teaches seniors. Needless to say, I was flattered by the invitation which he extended again this year. Having to speak to a group of students made me focus and organize my thoughts on a topic about which I think a great deal. As I say later, leaders need to be change agents and to provide vision for their organizations. For me, that's the easy part. Creating environments where we can actually effect change and successfully realize our vision poses a much bigger challenge. My thoughts on leadership come from this vantage point. Also, while I try to practice what I preach about good leadership, I know I don't always succeed.
