Led by Booster co-presidents Rebecca Chan '17 and Libby Mulligan '18, the Boosters inducted four new members on Tuesday, April 25: Morgan Abdo '18, Caroline Cascio '19, Kate Fynes '18, and Eden Halpert '19.
The inductions were a surprise for the four young women, although their families were informed of the honor ahead of time. Family members attended the ceremony, hidden from site until their daughters' names were announced. The new members received their certificate of induction, Booster patch, and official Booster pins, which they are required to wear for a week.
An in-school service club, Boosters exemplifies the spirit of service and volunteer support in established school activities and in-school volunteer service. The club also initiates other activities that contribute to the Holton-Arms community. Induction into the club is based on the number of community service hours accrued while in high school. Students earn service hours as tour guides, by volunteering in the school store, the Advancement Center, College Resource Room, Brown House, and the Head of School's office; assisting the Alumnae Board and Alumnae Office; working at Back to School Night and Reunion; and filling any volunteer need throughout the School. The girls give selflessly of their time and their free periods to further all that we do.
Qualifications of a Booster: Integrity, a constructive and helpful attitude in all aspects of School life, a cooperative spirit, a pleasant and courteous disposition toward faculty and students, a respect for school regulations and honest effort to conform to them, a genuine interest in the welfare of the School, sincere participation in and support of its activities.
We applaud all of our Boosters and congratulate the newest members.
