Greetings All,
I hope that your week has been a good one. Has anyone ever wanted to unleash an anger filled tirade at the inventor of the alarm clock? Today was indeed one of those mornings as Friday arrived with a deluge of nasty weather. Inclement weather conditions occurring during rush hour often correlates to traffic havoc in our area. The resulting epicenters of potential commuter trouble is generally manifested across four major roadways; the Capital Beltway, Interstate 95, Interstate 270, and Interstate 66. We know very well that days exist when even Hannibal riding an elephant could not triumph against such gridlock. It is also important to note that traffic conditions along those major thoroughfares often reverberates to secondary and arterial roads. Our campus sits within close proximity of the Beltway, so we are certainly aware of that fact. On a side note, traffic patterns have recently changed along portions of River Road in the interest of safety. We will talk more about those initiatives a little more next week.
For those of you who will be participating in the Landon Azalea Festival this weekend, we wish you the best ( and some good weather).
On behalf of my good friends in the Facilities Department, I would like to wish all of my colleagues a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Please note the special building hours that are posted for Sunday, May 7, 2017. On that day the building is scheduled to close at 3:00 p.m. Take the time to indulge in the remainder of the weekend. Exercise care along with patience during your commute this evening. It could get a little challenging out there, but most importantly simply be safe.

Sunday, May 7th, 2017- 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. ( Note the special building hours)
