Varsity field hockey's Hadley Nolan '19 has been selected by the Holton Athletic Association (HAA) as "Panther of the Week" for the performance, work ethic, and attitude she has shown since the start the season.
Nolan went from a timid new player on the sideline to a secret weapon in the midfield. She came into preseason in strong physical shape and had a great attitude and focus throughout the two weeks. Playing in the midfield rarely leads to accolades with stats like goals or saves, but it is one of the most physically challenging positions in field hockey. Nolan has become a force with her stutter-step dodge and her new and improved hit.
"A more versatile player this year, Hadley knows she might be asked to play midfield or defense in a moment's notice," her coaches commented. They added, "On game days, when she is not on the field, she is cheering on her teammates and anticipating where she will be needed next. She communicates her ideas with her players and coaches and makes our team stronger."
You can check out Hadley Nolan and the varsity field hockey team as they take on Georgetown Visitation at 4:15 p.m. at home on the turf field during Blue/White Night tonight Tuesday, September 26. Click here for the most up-to-date schedule and results.
