Panthers Head Toward Championships

This weekend marks the beginning of post-season play for the Panthers! Cross country will compete in the ISL Championships Saturday at Derwood Agricultural Center. They will continue their post-season run over the next two weekends at the Montgomery County Championships and DC Private School Championships.

Varsity volleyball finished the regular season in first place, earning them an ISL A Championship banner! This gives them the number one seed and bye heading into the tournament. Their first game will be at Holton against the winners of NCS and St. Andrew's at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 2. If they win they will advance to the ISL A Championships on Sunday, November 4 at 3:00 p.m. at Episcopal High School.

Varsity tennis is also gearing up for a championship run after finishing the regular season in second place in the AA Division of the ISL. They will take on seventh-seed Visitation in the first round of the ISL Championships. The game will be at Holton at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30. If they win, they will advance and host the next round at Holton on Wednesday, October 31 at 3:00 p.m. against the winner of Sidwell and Flint Hill. The ISL AA Championships will be held on Thursday, November 1 at 3:00 p.m. at Bullis.

Varsity soccer also earned home-field advantage, although their bracket is not complete. They will host the first round at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31. If they win, they will advance and play on Friday, November 2, before moving on to the ISL A Championships at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 at Holton.

Varsity field hockey has also earned a home-field game in the first round! They will play at Holton at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30. There are additional ISL games that still need to be played in order to determine the final bracket. The quarter-finals will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, followed by the semi-final game at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 2. The ISL Field Hockey Championship will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 at Madeira.
