I hope that your week has gone well. It is my wish that our hint of afternoon sunshine provides a prelude to delightful weekend. Note the emphasis on the key word "wish." The recognition of accomplishments throughout the Halls of Holton continues. We proudly acknowledge the remarkable achievements across our school community. Do not despair the lull in the sports world with the culmination of the Super Bowl. The winter season of Panther Athletics continues in full force. In the words of the great Julie Treadwell," Go Panthers."
The weekend building hours for February 9-10, 2019 are posted below. Provisions are in place for all campus activities. The annual Orchesis Concert takes place this evening. For those of you attending that event as always we wish you a wonderful time.
There are a number of events occurring across the metropolitan area. Prominent among them is the Lunar (or Chinese) New Year celebration taking place this Sunday, February 10th. That event will take place from 2pm until 5pm in downtown D.C. Officials are scheduled to close H Street between 6th and 8th Streets, NW in support of that event. You can also anticipate adjacent street closures and potential traffic delays in that area. Should you decide on participating in those festivities, consider the option of public transportation if feasible.
In closing we bid our visiting Global Education students a very fond farewell. We also wish them a safe journey home.
